Ekaterina Semenchuk

Ekaterina Semenchuk is a native of Minsk. She studied singing at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg and made her debut at the Mariinsky Theater while still a student. Her repertoire includes Verdi roles such as Azucena (“Il Trovatore”), Princess Eboli (“Don Carlo”) and Amneris (“Aida”), as well as roles such as Santuzza in "”Cavalleria rusticana”, Marina in “Boris Godunov” and the title role in “Carmen”. She has made guest appearances at major international houses such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Opéra National de Paris, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, and at the Salzburg and Baden-Baden Festivals. Parts at the Bavarian State Opera in the season 2021/22 were Preziosilla in “La forza del destino”, Lady Macbeth in “Macbeth” and Didon in “Les Troyens”.
