
Canadian Marc Sabat (born in 1965) is a composer and interpreter on different acoustic and electronic instruments. He studied in Toronto and New York, benefiting from significant inspiration from the violinist Malcolm Goldstein and the composers James Tenney and Walter Zimmermann. In his own works, Mark Sabat works on the influence of American folk and experimental music. In addition, as an instrumentalist and composer he focuses on pure, untempered intonation. Marc Sabat currently primarily devotes his time to composing. He teaches at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
