Dramaturgin
Iris Laufenberg was born in Cologne and studied Applied Theatre Studies at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen from 1986 to 1991. She subsequently took up posts as a dramaturg at Schauspiel Bonn (1992 to 1997) and the Bremer Theater (1997 to 2001). In 1994, 1996 and 2002 together with Tankred Dorst and Ursula Ehler she directed the European theatre festival Bonner Biennale – New Plays from Europe at Schauspiel Bonn. In 2003 Iris Laufenberg became Artistic Director of the Berliner Festspiele’s Theatertreffen. She taught the advanced Master’s course in stage design at the Technical University Berlin from 2004 to 2006 and lectured in cultural management during the winter term 2008/09 at Hildesheim University. During the present winter term 2009/10 she is teaching cultural and festival management at the Freie Universität Berlin.
