Rieke Oberländer

Rieke Oberländer studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice with a focus on theatre at the University of Hildesheim. She works as head of theatre education at Theater Bremen, where she realises educational programmes such as workshops for schools and educational institutions and production projects with children, young people and adults. In 2019, her production “Just a four letter word” was invited to the Bundestreffen Jugendclubs an Theatern in Saarbrücken. Rieke Oberländer is a lecturer for advanced training in the field of performing arts. A power-critical perspective is important to her. She initiates projects with various institutions in Bremen’s urban society and works as a works council member on internal theatre change processes. From 2010 to 2015, Rieke Oberländer was head of the Forum at the Theatertreffen der Jugend.
