Anna Zett is an artist, author, director of films and of radio plays. Her practice combines historical research and symbolic analysis with a playful, interaction-oriented approach. After completing her MA at the Humboldt University in Berlin, she published her first major video works in 2014, both of which were dealing with the dinosaur as an emblem of historical violence in the USA. Increasingly, her focus shifted from video and animation to more situational formats like installation, choreography, voice and conversation. She also created two experimental radio plays (Deutschlandfunk, BR). Her works have been shown at Serpentine Gallery Marathon London, Whitney Museum New York, CAC Vilnius, Sonic Acts Festival Amsterdam, Rhizome.org, SALT Istanbul, HKW Berlin, Artists Space New York. Anna Zett was born and raised in Leipzig and lives in Berlin.
