Director. Born in Berlin in 1968. From 1988 to 1992 trained as an actor in Hamburg and then worked as an actor from 1992 to 1999. In 1999 she directed “sitzen in Hamburg” after Chekhov’s “Drei Schwestern” at the Hamburger Kammerspiele. This production won her the 2000 Impulse Prize and the 2001 Gertrud Eysoldt Prize for young directors. Since 2000 she has directed regularly at the Schauspielhaus Zurich and the Theater in der Fabrik (TiF) in Dresden in addition to productions at Freiburg Theatre, the Kammerspiele in Munich, the Salzburg Festival and the Vienna Burgtheater.

In March 2005 she will direct the premiere of “Betrachte meine Seel” from her own script at the Sophiensæle in Berlin.
