Theresa Schlesinger was born in Heidelberg in 1990 and works as a dramaturge. She studied Drama Studies and History in Berlin and began an MA-course in Dramaturgy at Theaterakademie Hamburg in 2017. From 2015 to 2017, she worked at Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, Berlin, as a dramaturgy assistant for productions by Philipp Preuss and Marius von Mayenburg and as a dramaturg for the productions of the “Polyrealisten” and the Schaubühne’s workshop group. For the Festival International New Drama (FIND), she translated the plays “The Flick” by Annie Baker and “Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally” by Kevin Armanto, which were presented to a German-language audience for the first time. In the context of her MA-course, she has worked with Dor Aloni on his play “Hitler Baby One More Time” and Elsa-Sophie Jach on Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie”. She is involved in the network Theater.Frauen, campaigning for the promotion of female representation in the theatre.
