Anne Habermehl

Dramatist and director Anne Habermehl was invited to the Stückemarkt with her play “Letztes Territorium” (Last Territory) in 2008. From 2004 to 2008, she studied Creative Writing for the Stage at the Berlin University of the Arts. She received a grant for the Author’s Laboratory at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus and at the L’Obrador de la Sala Beckett in Barcelona. Her plays have been invited to the Autorentheatertage at the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and to the “Radikal jung” festival of young directors at Münchner Volkstheater. Her play “Daddy” was the Stückemarkt commission in 2008 and was premiered at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel in Munich. In 2010, Habermehl herself directed the premiere production of “Narbengelände” (Scar Area) at the Theater Gera and “Luft aus Stein” in 2013 at the Schauspielhaus Wien.
