Helge Jordheim

Helge Jordheim, Professor of Cultural History, University of Oslo; Visiting Professor, New York University (2015-2016). He has published widely on 18th-century intellectual culture in Europe as well as on the history of concepts and the theory of history. His last book is a transnational history of the concepts of civility and civilization, written with an international team of scholars (Civilizing Emotions, 2015). At present he is writing a book on the cultural history of time in the 17th and 18th centuries.
