Alejandro Le Roux, was born in Buenos Aires in 1964. Since 1992 he performs as a technician, operator and lighting assistant. From 1997 he works exclusively on his own designs for opera, theatre and dance, introducing them in Argentinean and foreign theatres. Between 2000 and 2003 he attended to the Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Spectacle (Avignon, France). His design on Monteverdi “Metodo Belico” (directed by El Periférico de Objetos, 1999) was awarded with the Trinidad Guevara, given by the government of Buenos Aires; and the theatre of the World, from UBA; and they were granted again by his work on “Los Murmullos” (2002), and “Dolor Exquisito” (2008). Several of his designs were nominated for the ACE awards. Since 2005 he works as a professor in the undergraduate of light design of IUNA, and in the Municipal School of dramatic arts and gives technical advice for the Instituto Nacional de Teatro y el Consejo Federal de Inversiones.
