1st Long Night of Operas and Theatres

Theatertreffen 2009 will open with a truly spectacular piece of theatre: Christoph Schlingensief‘s “Church of Fear”, a guest performance from the 2008 Ruhr Trienniale. This work is a highly moving Fluxus-Oratorio in which Schlingensief addresses his own illness of cancer.

Visitors will be able to view the impressive stage, which resembles a Catholic church, and also to tour the whole Haus der Berliner Festspiele in small groups every hour.

We would also like to warmly invite you to the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, and to attend a varied programme of music and performance through the evening.
