Practical Information

Important information for your visit to “Shared Landscapes”

Weather & Clothing

“Shared Landscapes” takes place in all weather conditions and will only be cancelled in case of heavy rain or thunderstorms.

There are ticks, hornets and wasps in the forest during summer time. Please wear shoes and clothes which are suitable for walking in the forest and appropriate to the weather and your personal needs, as if you were going on a day trip. For example, you might need a light jacket, sunscreen, tick/insect repellent, a hat, a flashlight etc. We will lend you blankets, a rain cape and one camping stool per visitor.

Wear a small backpack if possible, but don’t load up unnecessarily. There are no changing rooms or lockers in the forest.

Caution: Mosquitos

There is a high incidence of mosquitos in the area, please keep it mind and bring with you what you need as precaution.

How to Get There

Destination: Hangelsberg Station
Straße der Befreiung, 15537 Grünheide (Mark)

Please take RE1 – Frankfurt (Oder), Bahnhof (73726), which arrives at 12:37 in Hangelsberg. Later trains will not arrive in time for the event.

The starting point of the event is at 13:00 at Waldschule Hangelsberg, Heidegarten 1, 15537 Grünheide (Mark).

We recommend using public transport to get to the location. There are no parking areas on site or within close proximity.

Accessibility for People with Reduced Mobility

Due to the unevenness of the forest ground (stones, lying branches, tree roots etc.) the event is not fully accessible.

Timing

The seven pieces last between 30 and 40 minutes each. There are breaks of various lengths to allow participants to drink or eat, go to the toilet, chat and wander around. There is a longer break around 17:00.

The total walking distance is approx. 5 km.

The last show will end before sunset.

Safety Rules and Regulations

The whole area is a non-smoking area. A violation of this regulation will lead to exclusion from the event.

Please be aware of possible dangers from ticks, hornets, wasps, mosquitos, thorns and falling branches. You enter the forest at your own risk.

Entering nature reserve areas is not allowed.

Driving into the forest with motor vehicles and parking in the forest are prohibited.

On Site

Eco toilets are available on site.

Thank you for taking care of the forest and its inhabitants. Please take your rubbish with you, there are no bins.

Our staff will be on site all day to guide you and assist you if necessary.

Food & Beverage

We offer a vegetarian lunch box as catering, exclusively on the basis of pre-orders. This will consist of:

- 1 x fruit
- 1 x savoury pastry with vegetable filling
- 1 x bowl with rice, falafel, vegetables, grain mix and boiled egg
- 1 x muffin

The lunch box (16,- EUR) can be pre-ordered online after purchasing your ticket up to three days before the date of the event.

Please note that the price of the lunch box will not be refunded in case the event has to be cancelled due to force majeur incidents like heavy rain or thunderstorms.

You are welcome to bring your own food, drinks and snacks for your picnic. We recommend bringing a water bottle which can be refilled at water stations. There are no shopping facilities nearby and no catering services on site.

Is It Possible to Come with a Dog?

It is possible to bring a dog on a lead.

Is the Show Suitable for Children?

Children accompanied by adults are welcome. The productions have not been specifically designed for young audiences. None of the pieces contain violent scenes or inappropriate language.
