The tt festivalzeitung! accompanied the entire Theatertreffen at eye level: directly, exclusively and in the thick of things. Young editors presented their perspective in writing. They reviewed the ten invited productions, reported on the International Forum, the Stückemarkt and promoted discussion about current issues in theatre.

For the first time in the history of the Theatertreffen, a dedicated newspaper editorial team was set up for the period from 2 to 22 May 2005: young, professional, German-speaking cultural journalists and theatre photographers were invited. Experienced editors, well-known critics and layout designers supervised the editorial team. The tt festivalzeitung! comprised seven issues. In co-operation with the production run of the Berliner Zeitung, the paper appeared in the capital’s largest daily newspaper.
