The Jury for the 2025 Theatertreffen
The Theatertreffen-jury chooses the 10 most remarkable productions invited to Theatertreffen and consists of seven theatre critics. These jurors are usually serving three years in succession. The jury is appointed jointly by the director of the Theatertreffen, the director of the Berliner Festspiele and the German Federal Cultural Foundation.

New in the Jury for the 2026 Theatertreffen
Eva Behrendt, Janis El-Bira, Valeria Heintges, Katrin Ullmann and Sascha Westphal are finishing their work for the Theatertreffen-jury after three years in 2023. Alexandra Kedves, Vincent Koch, Yaël Koutouan, Falk Schreiber und Christine Wahl are taking over their positions.
As part of the regular rotation, the five critics Eva Behrendt, Janis El-Bira, Valeria Heintges, Katrin Ullmann and Sascha Westphal will leave the Theatertreffen-jury. In their place, critics Alexandra Kedves, Vincent Koch, Yaël Koutouan, Falk Schreiber and Christine Wahl have been appointed.
