In dialogues with trolls and the drowned, real celebrities and false friends, the absurdities of digital interaction come to a head. Glamsquad’s marginalised perspective and her genuine questions reveal just how social hierarchies and mechanisms of exclusion perpetuate themselves according to the logics of augmentation inherent in the digital realms’ economics of attention. In dense expanses of text, not unlike screenshots, stereotypical attributions intrude on her, leave her sleepless and carry through to her offline experience.
