Which issues concern theatre makers in Tegucigalpa and Tehran, in Yogyakarta and Heidelberg? In playful mini-lectures of six minutes each, the young artists of the International Forum will present excerpts of their ways of thinking and working.

These mini-sessions are a creative way of communicating artistic approaches and questions in both local and global contexts, and will provide opportunities for further exchange of ideas. So there will not only be input but also several breaks with coffee. In almost 180 minutes around the world and far beyond with the opportunity for chats in between.

The International Forum is a platform for global collaboration, the initial spark for alliances, actions and the search for diverse, local perspectives on global issues. Since 1965 emerging artists from all continents gather in Berlin to think together, make connections and celebrate during the festival of Theatertreffen.

The International Forum takes place in cooperation with Goethe-Institut and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and is supported by the German Stage Association. Further funding institutions are the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport and the regional association of the German Stage Association in Baden-Wuerttemberg as well as the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion Berlin, the Ministry of Culture and Media Hamburg, the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts, the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony, the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the State Chancellery of Thuringia.
