Moving, dancing and soaring between the outside and inside, Kieron Jina invites the audience to reflect on the question of belonging: What if, instead of “Where are you from?”, one asked “Where are you a local?”

This performance takes the audience on a journey into the world of nomads and constant movement. Jina moves between post-colonial historiography and queer storytelling – always with an activist approach and in search of empathy and shared experience. In a fusion of spoken word, dance and music, Jina roams through culture and history and conquers new performative spaces between urbanity and the Haus der Berliner Festspiele garden. By bridging ancestral traditions with multimedia storytelling, artist Kieron Jina, sound designer Yogin Sullaphen and other storytellers offer the audience a unique opportunity to imagine and co-create a more inclusive and inspired future.
