What are the available strategies and ways of dealing with the current waves of funding cuts? Various experiences will be exchanged in larger and smaller groups.

Available from 13.5. until 31.10.2025 as videoon demand in the media library

The last set of radical and distressing funding cuts has barely been completed and now the prospect of the next set looms. Many artists – and audiences too – have been unnerved and are wondering how things are supposed to continue when the fundamental importance and role of art and culture has been challenged. Seven alumni of the International Forum from very different areas of the German theatre landscape describe the specific situation where they are and share experiences of how they are responding to the changing situation. After an introductory podium discussion, the proceedings will continue in direct exchanges in small groups and table discussions.
