Epic Fail

Loosely based on the Cassandra myth and other stories of failure

SchauSpielRaum, Junges SchauSpielHaus Hamburg

Eight young people are spread out on the stage. One of them is sitting at a piano. In the foreground, a person of color recites a text. The set design shows a curtain with lightning bolts on it in the background and fluffy white clouds above. Everyone listens intently to the speech of the person in the foreground.

An ensemble of young players venture into the world of Greek mythology and face moments of failure in which they recognise today’s society. Facing an uncertain future, they identify themselves in the seer Cassandra, whose premonitions and warnings go unheeded.
