Elske Rosenfeld is an artist and writer researching the history of dissidence in Eastern Europe and the events of 1989/90, and the relationship between the body and revolution. She has regularly published on these themes, e.g. as co-author of the Berlin booklet “On the Constitution. Research, Documents. 1989-2017” and on her blog www.dissidencies.net. Her artistic works have been exhibited internationally at e.g. the f/stop-Festival Leipzig (2018); “Herbstsalon III” at the Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin, (2017); Steirischer Herbst 2015, Graz; mumok kino, Vienna (2016 and 2013); GfzK Leipzig (2013) and the Devi Art Foundation, Delhi (2013). In 2018 together with Suza Husse she organized the project “wild repetition. material from below. Artistic Research in the Archives of the GDR Opposition”. She is a trustee of the foundation of the House of Democracy and Human Rights.
