Polina Fenko, born in 1997, is a dance artist and dance dramaturge based in Berlin, originally from Saint Petersburg. She holds an MA in Contemporary Theatre, Dance and Dramaturgy from Utrecht University and a BA in Art History from Saint Petersburg State University. Through her choreographic and dramaturgical practices, Fenko researches the relationship between social choreography, somatechnics and perceptual politics. Her current research focused on the intersection of military and choreographic scores with surveillance technologies explored through experimental methodologies of documentary choreography. She has contributed her dramaturgical expertise to festivals such as Tanztage Berlin, Potsdamtage, Open Look, and venues such as ICK in Amsterdam, STUK Arts Center in Leuven, among others. As a dance artist, she has performed in works by Simone Forti, Alexandra Pirici, Kiori Sherwood-Kawai, Kirill Savchenkov, among others. Her works have been presented at various festivals and performance venues in Amsterdam (W139, 4bid gallery, Kunstkapel), Turin (Lavanderia a Vapore), Berlin (Lake Studios Berlin, New Fears gallery, Tanzfabrik Berlin) and Vienna (ImPulsTanz).
