Ulrike Herrmann

Ulrike Herrmann was born in 1964, trained as a bank business management assistant and graduated from the Henri-Nannen-School of Journalism. Later, she studied History and Philosophy in Berlin. She has worked as a research associate at the Körber-Foundation and as a press officer for Hamburg’s Senator for Equal Opportunities, Krista Sager. In 2008, she published “Älter werden, Neues wagen: Zwölf Porträts (Growing older, taking new chances: Twelve Portraits)” and in 2012 “Hurra, wir dürfen zahlen: Der Selbstbetrug der Mittelschicht (Hurray, we get to pay: The self-deceit of the middle classes)”. Ulrike Herrmann has been an editor for topics of from economic and social policy for the daily newspaper taz.
