Daniel Plewe

Daniel Plewe, born 1975 in Berlin, is member of ensemble mosaik since 2011. He studied Communication Studies, Technical Acoustics and Musicology at the Technical University (TU) Berlin. His main interest is on electro acoustic music and virtual music. In 2004 and 2005 he contributed to the development of the Wave Field Synthesis System at the TU Berlin. Currently he does research on sensor based live-electronic systems and works on a generic music processor for the art project “longing – fast forward”. Since 2006 he has been assistant lecturer for music informatics and audio engineering at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler in Berlin. For big multimedia exhibitions like the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, Plewe developed multi-channeled Surround Conceptions. For more than ten years he has been working as a sound director and live-electrician with different ensembles and composers. He presented his cooperative works and projects at festivals like Ultraschall, MaerzMusik and Wien Modern, at the Biennales in Munich, Venice, and Tel Aviv, as well as the Ruhrtriennale.
