Jacob Höhne has served as the Artistic Director and Managing Director of the RambaZamba Theater since the 2017 theater season. He also produces plays himself on a regular basis. He studied theater directing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. During his time in Salzburg, he received one of the city’s cultural awards for his play “Die Winterreise” (The Winter Journey – 2013). After that, he produced plays for the Goethe-Institut in Spain and for the Omsk State Drama Fifth Theater in Siberia. Höhne’s most recent productions at the RambaZamba Theater were “Der eingebildete Kranke” (The Imaginary Invalid), “the world flames like a discokugel (styx spricht)” (The World Flames Like a Disco Ball [Styx Speaks]) by Thomas Köck and Mateja Meded, and “Ein Sportstück” (A Play About Sports) by Elfriede Jelinek. The latter was produced in cooperation with students in the theatre directing programme at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. Jacob Höhne has also been teaching theatre directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts since 2022.
