Korea Fantasy shows nine traditional Korean Dances in a modern, contemporary context. The traditional costumes reveal an array of artistic colours.
Korea Fantasy is a production of the National Dance Company of Korea founded in 1962 to preserve traditional Korean dances as well as to adapt them to a contemporary repertoire. Representing the unique spirit of artistic beauty and powerful energy of Korean Dances, the National Dance Company of Korea captivated the international audience during over 500 performances in more than sixty nations. Known as Jung Joong Dong - dynamism in the midst of tranquility -, Korean Dance combines the calm and soothing with the powerful and energetic to create a truly unique dance experience. The dances reveal humour, candour and sorrow, all of which make up the traditional spirit of the Koreans.
