The jury invited six authors to take part in the playwright’s workshop:
Kai Ivo Baulitz (Berlin): “Transporter”
Almut Baumgarten (Velbert-Langenberg): “Tank”
Bettina Friedmann (Berlin): “Mein Bruder Tom” (My Brother Tom)
March Höld (Vienna): “Träum” (Dream)
Philipp Löhle (Baden-Baden): “Genannt Gospodin” (Called Gospodin)
Daniel Mezger (Zurich): “In den Bergen” (In the Mountains)

Back to the room: after the authors sailed across the Spree in a ship in 2005 and discovered Berlin in an American motorhome in 2006, the authors of the 2007 playwrights’ workshop are going “into the room” again. For four days, they go into seclusion with John von Düffel, write mini-dramas and discuss the texts they have submitted to the play market.
